Keep the tradition going or start a new one by catching one of the amazing firework shows planned in Austin for July 4th. Austin communities will celebrate with parades, festivals, live music, and of course, end with fireworks across the city. Here’s a list of events for July 4, 2017 in Austin:
HEB Austin Symphony July 4th Concert and Fireworks– Join the 100,000 people who turn out for Austin’s longest running fireworks show each year. The event is free, so grab a blanket and head to at Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores) where the Austin Symphony Orchestra starts the night at 8:30 with fireworks following over Lady Bird Lake.
Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Festival– This free event is hosted at the Hill Country Galleria beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the nearly upgraded Central Plaza. Get comfy in your lawn chair or blanket and wait for the show to begin around 9:15 p.m.
Wells Branch 4th Fest– Head out to Katherine Fleischer Park for July 4th celebrations with the Wells Branch neighborhood. The event starts at 10 a.m. with a parade followed by a free festival with games, crafts, music, face painting, and more. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic– Want to spend Independence Day with Willie Nelson? Head to the Austin 360 Amphitheater for an all-day concert. Gates open at 11 a.m. and fireworks will be displayed after a series of musical performances.
Red, White, and Buda– Downtown Buda will host a children’s parade on Main Street at 8:30 a.m. Live music and other activities will last into the evening with fireworks beginning at dark.
4th of July Parade and Celebration– A parade will start at 10 a.m. on Discovery Boulevard in Cedar Park. The party moves to Milburn Park at 4 p.m. with live music, bingo, and carnival rides. The event is free and ends with a fireworks show after dark.
Fire in the Sky – Check out the fireworks show over Dripping Springs. The park opens at 5 p.m. with food, a petting zoo, train rides, and more. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.
SERTOMA 4th of July– July 4th celebrations start at 11 a.m. at San Gabriel Park. Crafts, vendors, kiddies rides, and a petting zoo will be a part of the celebration. At around 9:30 pm, a dazzling fireworks display will light up the sky over the San Gabriel River.
July 4th Celebration– The City of Lakeway begins its parade at 8:30 a.m. with an awards ceremony and pageant of the flags following. There will be several firework shows around Lake Travis.
Volente Beach Fireworks Show– Get your Independence Day party started a day early. Volente Beach Waterpark on Lake Travis hosts its celebration July 3. Spend a day at the waterpark and stay late to catch the fireworks show, or join the party at 8 pm. Entrance to the fireworks show is $8 per person.
